After a rough weekend, the Wingham Ironmen are in second-to-last place in the North Pollock Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League standings with a record of 1-4 and just two points.

Seven Huron Heat teams travelled east over the weekend to take part in the Oakville Hornets' annual Harvest Classic tournament, though none were able to bring home any gold.

A sure sign that winter is now officially around the corner, the Wingham Ironmen were back on the ice over the weekend, splitting their two games for a middling start to another season.

On Sunday, the 45th annual Charity Driver's Challenge raised over $10,000 for Legion Branches in Exeter, Seaforth, Clinton and Hensall. Over those decades, the challenge has raised nearly $400,000 for local organizations.     (Shawn Loughlin photo)
