U13 A Huron Heat win gold at Canadettes' annual Easter Tournament

Over the weekend, the U13 A Huron Heat won the final tournament of the 2024/2025 season, claiming gold at the 56th annual Brampton Canadettes Easter Tournament, cruising through undefeated.

 

Play for the team began at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 18 with a 4-0 victory over the Ancaster Avalanche, followed by a 4-1 win over the Kingston Ice Wolves later that night. On Saturday, the team blew out the North Halton Twisters by a score of 7-0 before ending its game with the host Brampton Canadettes later that night in a scoreless draw.

 

Then, on Sunday afternoon, the Heat took on the Ancaster Avalanche - the team the Heat defeated by a score of 4-0 to open the tournament on Friday morning - in the finals. It was a tight game, but the Heat beat the Avalanche by a score of 1-0 to win gold.
