Stephen Darryl "Steve" Bernard
Stephen Darryl “Steve” Bernard passed away suddenly on Oct. 21 at his home, in his 45th year.
He was the proud dad of Katherine, Justin and Hailey and the wonderful son of Mary and Carman Bernard.
Steve will be remembered by the mother of their children, Nicole.
He was the brother of Mike and Rachel and Chris and Katie and the uncle of Madison, Casey, Macklin, and Marla Bernard.
He will be missed by many aunts and uncles.
Steve was predeceased by grandparents Gerald and Berva Watson and Thomas and Margaret Bernard.
Steve was a very proud dad, who was loyal to his family and protective of his brothers. He was easy to talk to and went out of his way to make others feel heard. He was a quiet guy who loved to listen with a cold Diet Pepsi.
He was selfless and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved all farm equipment, trucks and especially his big rig, which he drove for a job he loved.
Steve adored his children and loved being a dad. He enjoyed going to farm shows with his kids, watching his youngest play lacrosse, and enjoyed Saturday drives to get groceries or going out for meals with them.
Steve looked forward to spending Sunday morning with his family catching up over breakfast. His smile and quiet demeanor will be missed by many.
Friends and family were invited for visitation at Riverside Funeral Home (Brussels Chapel) on Sunday, Oct. 27 followed by the funeral service on Oct. 28 with Rev. Alex Jebson officiating.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to the Outlaws Lacrosse Team, or the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre would be appreciated.
Cards of sympathy and donation cheques may be sent to Box 340 Brussels N0G 1H0.
