Shirley Ruth (née Dodgson) Glousher
Shirley Ruth (née Dodgson) Glousher passed away peacefully at Seaforth Retirement Community on Wednesday, March 5 in her 87th year.
The loving mom of Cheryl Anne Glousher, Larry and Carol Glousher, Darlene Glousher and Adam Petten, and Colleen Staffen and John Medley, Shirley was the proud grandma of Allyson Glousher and Mackenzie MacPherson, Kyle and Jade Ford, Nathan and Hailey Staffen, and Andrew Staffen, and the great-grandma of Oaklynn, Hudsyn and Kaylynn Staffen.
Shirley was the half-sister of Alice Armstrong and Walter Armstrong, the special friend of Don Crigger, and close friend of Connie Bromley and family, and Joyce Steuernol.
Shirley loved her music and dancing; she always had her foot tapping to the beat. She donated her time with many charities in the community, especially the Blyth Legion. Shirley was an RPN with the Wingham Hospital and worked with Town and Country Homemakers taking care of people in their own homes.
She loved her family and enjoyed going to the beach to watch the sunsets. Shirley loved to ride in the car, play cards and tend to her garden. She was well liked by many and easy to love. She will be missed.
Friends and family are invited to the Blyth Legion for a come-and-go celebration of Shirley’s life on Saturday, April 5 from 1-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Blyth Branch or Community Living - Wingham would be appreciated.
Cards of sympathy and donation cheques may be sent to Box 199, Blyth, N0M 1H0.
