Shirley (Hardy) Wharton

At Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2025, Shirley (Hardy) Wharton of Wingham passed away in her 101st year.

 

The beloved wife of the late Tom Wharton, who predeceased her in 1993, Shirley was the devoted mom of Dennis and Linda Wharton, Richard and Trudy Wharton, Patricia Wharton and Robert and Leah Wharton. She was the cherished grandma of Jeff, Steve, Scott, Christine, Kendra, Jason, Susan, Greg, and Kim, the great-grandma of 18 and great-great-grandma of three.
Shirley is predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday, March 17, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m.
Interment will take place at Culross Teeswater Cemetery in the spring.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham Salvation Army would be appreciated.
