Robert Sangster

Robert Sangster of Belgrave, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. He was 89.

 

Robert was the beloved husband of the late Sharon (Shropshall) and the cherished father and father-in-law of Jennifer Sangster, London, England; Bob and Bev Sangster, Point Clark and the late Len Sangster (2018) and Tracy Sangster, Wingham. He was the cherished grandpa of Mike Dykeman, Janaka Fernando, Jeremy Fernando, Brett and Tanya Sangster, Becky Bloemberg and Tim Currie, Andrea Sangster, Carly Sangster, Jenna and AJ Hall, and Katie Sangster. Robert was the treasured great-grandpa of Dylan, Emma, Ethan, Ewen, Elleah, Nate and Sophia. 

 

Robert was predeceased by his parents John and Edith Sangster, brothers Harvey and Jean Sangster, Ken and Florence Sangster, sister-in-law Jean and Harold King and brother-in-law Fred and Ruth Shropshall. 

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, Nov. 10. A private funeral service was held on Thursday, Nov. 11. Robert’s final resting place is at McIntosh Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wingham Minor Hockey would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
