Muriel Elaine McFarlan

At Huronview in Clinton on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Muriel Elaine McFarlan of Wingham passed away at the age of 83.

 

The beloved wife of Elmer McFarlan, Muriel was the cherished mother of Steven McFarlan, Doug and Sherry McFarlan and Dale McFarlan and the devoted grandma of Laura and Jack. 

 

Muriel was the sister of Irene Bannerman, Ilene Coutts, Thelma and Eric Finkbeiner, John and Jeanne Bannerman and Maurice Bannerman and the sister-in-law of Winnie Siegel, Jim McFarlan, Leonard and Josie McFarlan and Helen and Charles Osborne. Muriel will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

 

She was predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Isabel (Hart) Bannerman, sister-in-law Nancy Bannerman, and brothers-in-law Mike Coutts, Ivan and Joan McFarlan, Allan McFarlan and Frank Siegel.

 

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday, April 15 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Wingham Columbus Centre.

 

Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or the Huronview Resident’s Council would be appreciated by the family.
