Maxine Robinson

Maxine Robinson of Wingham, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. She was 80.

 

Maxine was the deeply loved wife of Bill Robinson, Wingham and the dearly loved mom of Steve and Vicki Morrison, Wingham and Jamie and Susan Robinson, Belgrave. She was the devoted grandma of Corey McKee, Taylor Morrison and Jordan Crawford, Hayden Robinson and friend Kristen Dillon and Maya Robinson and the special great-grandma of Wrenley Crawford. 

 

Maxine was the cherished sister and sister-in-law of Martina Machan, Joan and Bob Barwick, Florence Machan, Carman and Sandra Machan, Gail and John Currie, Dale and Ruth Machan, Gord and Jane Machan, Anne and Jack Vincent, Jim Alton, Pat and Ken Mathers, Lawrence Machan, Jim Robinson, Joyce Coupland, Tom and Aantje Robinson, Kaye and Ken MacKenzie and Joyce Dennis. Maxine will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and large extended family.

 

Maxine was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Violet Machan, first husband Lynn Morrison, daughter Sandra Morrison, siblings Lloyd (Marion), Joe, Doug, Barrie and Dianne Machan, Shirley Wheeler (George) and Darlene Becker (Wayne), parents-in-law Charlie and Margaret Robinson, brother-in-law Stewart Coupland and sister-in-law Barb Robinson.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, Aug. 24. The funeral service was held at Wingham United Church on Thursday, Aug. 25. Interment took place in Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
