Marie Margaret Skinn

At her home in Goderich on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, Marie Skinn, formerly of Wingham, passed away suddenly at the age of 81.

 

The beloved wife of the late Doug Skinn (2021), Marie was the loving mom of Steve and Mary Skinn of Wingham and Gary and Crystal Skinn of Orangeville. 

 

She was the cherished grandma of Nathan (Laura), Jeanna (Drew), Kristen, Lennon and Lily, the dear sister of Doris and David Mills, John and Ruth Adams and Murray and Beverly Adams and sister-in-law of Glenn and Eileen Skinn, Mary Ann and Allan Weishar, Barbara and Dennis Heller, Ken Skinn, Brian and Cathy Skinn, Bruce and Jayne Skinn, Roseanne Skinn, Paul and Cindy Skinn and Cathy and Larry Machan. 

 

Marie will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Marie was predeceased by her father Harry Adams, mother Laura (Hamilton) Alexander, sister Bernice Cooke, parents-in-law Alex and Jean Skinn, brothers-in-law Joseph in infancy, Bill Skinn and Gerald Skinn.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, Aug. 15. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Friday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated.
