Lois (Webster) Chamney

Lois (Webster) Chamney of Wingham and formerly of Belgrave, passed away peacefully at Braemar Nursing Home on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021. She was 94.

 

Lois was the beloved wife of the late Stuart Chamney who predeceased her in 2017. She was the cherished mom of Diane Bridge, Port Elgin; Donna and Jim Muir, Bayfield; Barb and Kevin Pletch, Point Clark; Joyce Bloschinsky, London and Steve and Joan Chamney, Lucknow and the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister-in-law of Gordon “Bud” Chamney, Auburn. Lois was predeceased by her parents William and Edna (Taylor) Webster, son-in-law Warren Bridge (2017), siblings Jean and Cliff Henderson and George and Greta Webster and Stuart’s siblings Elwyn, Herman and Graham Chamney and Verna Doerr.

 

Visitation took place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, Aug. 11. 

 

A private funeral service for immediate family only will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. A live-stream of the funeral will be available on the McBurney Funeral Home website so you can watch safely from your home. Final resting place is at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
