Linda (Hakkers) Pease
Linda (Hakkers) Pease passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The loving wife of Irvin Pease, Linda was the dear daughter of Alie and the late John Hakkers, the cherished sister of Ben, Helen and Keith, Gary and Debbie, Fred and Deb, Evelyn and Ron, Jerry and Cathy and Mike and Kari and the sister-in-law of Arnold.
Linda will also be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and her fur baby Sparky.
Linda was predeceased by her parents-in-law Lloyd and Mae Pease, brother-in-law Elgin and a nephew.
Linda loved her sports. She was an active member of the Blyth Broomball League for many years as a coach for Junior Broomball. She played a big part in forming the local broomball league as a solid defenseman for Yogi’s. Linda also had a passion for baseball, with a long run as a softball pitcher for Angela’s Angels and as a coach for the Blyth Softball League. She loved participating in sports but she also enjoyed being a spectator of wrestling, roller derby, baseball (go Jays!) and hockey (yay, Leafs!); she liked them all.
Linda was also an active volunteer with the Goderich Friendship Group.
Linda had a few jobs over the years. She worked on the Hakkers home farm, drove a delivery truck for Wallace Turkey Products, worked the order desk at Acklands Grainger, was a co-proprietor of the Blyth Corner Cafe and also helped Irv on the egg farm. She was always busy! Linda was always there to help out anyone in need and we will miss her greatly.
It was Linda’s wish to be cremated and have a private family funeral service. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Stratford Hospital Foundation or One Care Stroke Centre in Clinton would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Falconer Funeral Homes - Bluewater Chapel, Goderich.
