Lin (Dellow) Steffler

Lin Steffler of Seaforth and formerly of Walton, passed away peacefully with family by her side at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, London on Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was in her 75th year. 

 

Lin was the cherished wife of Joe Steffler for over 53 wonderful years and the loving mother of John and Heather Steffler, Seaforth.  She was the adored nana of Davis (Troy), Charlee, and the late Tanner Steffler (2017), and the great-nana of Rya. Lin was the dear sister of Andy and the late Ellen and the dear sister-in-law of Anne Doherty and the late John, (2003), Goderich; Clem Steffler (Phyllis), Calgary; Verna Steffler  and the late Jim, (2018), Wingham and the late Louis (1948).

 

Lin will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

 

Lin was a proud member of her community, serving as Reeve of Seaforth and the first Mayor of Huron East.  Lin had great pleasure in cooking and baking and Joe gratefully took on his role as taste tester.  She also enjoyed her years of singing with the Seaforth Harmony Hi-lites. 

 

A private funeral mass was held at the St. James Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth on Monday, March 15. You may view the service at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh. Cremation with interment in Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Brussels will be held at a later date.

 

A celebration of Lin’s life will be held in June (following COVID-19 protocols). Arrangements have been entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth.
