Les Glanville
Les Glanville of Seaforth, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
Les was the beloved husband of Dolores Beuerman, and the cherished father of Doris (Lyle) Hood, Seaforth; Veronica (Steve) Stevenson, Bayfield and the late John Leslie Glanville (1981). He was the beloved “Grumpa” of William (Sarah), Wyatt (Kayla) and Leah.
Les was predeceased by his wife Catherine (2017), his son John (1981), his brother Lloyd (2021) and his sister Joyce in infancy.
Les was a dedicated family man who loved his community. He had a great sense of humour and a smile you couldn’t help but return. Les never forgot a kindness and always paid it forward. He was generous in love and spirit.
Les will be deeply missed and always remembered by his siblings Alex (Gail), Saskatchewan; Ken (Betty), RR4 Walton; Lorne (Bonnie), RR4, Walton; Roy (Karleen), Rostock; Marj (Richard) Horst, Harpurhey; Eileen Duncan (Eric McGregor), Seaforth; Marleen (Don) Hill, Brussels; Arthur (Jackie), Saskatchewan and sister-in-law Mabel (Lloyd) Glanville, Brussels.
Also remembering Les always are sisters-in-law Evelyn, Egmondville; Annette (Brent), London; Mary Ellen Williamson, Thorndale; Janet Zimmer, British Columbia; Frances (Peter Kling), Bonnie (Denis Beuerman) and brother-in-law Jack Doyle, Toronto.
Les will also be missed by his step-children Barry (Liva), Alberta; Justine (Chris), Thunder Bay; Spencer (Shayla and Milo), Thunder Bay and Phil and Glen.
Cremation has taken place. At Les’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Les’s life is being planned for early summer, as provincial restrictions allow. Arrangements were entrusted to Haskett Funeral Homes, Seaforth.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, OneCare or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
