John Nixon

John Nixon of Belgrave, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022. He was 86.

 

John was the beloved husband of Sheila (née France) Nixon and the loving dad of Calvin Nixon and Linda Knight, Waterloo; Glen and Karen Nixon, Conestogo Lake; Marjorie and Dan McBurney, Belgrave; Steven and Patti Nixon, Benmiller and Randy and Kim Nixon, Egmondville. He was the cherished grandpa of 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. John was the dear brother of Carman and Wilma Nixon, London; Ralph and Corrie Nixon, Wingham; Wayne and Janet Nixon, Ripley and Delbert Nixon and Carol Ducharme, Exeter. He was the special brother-in-law of Greta and Ross Heinmiller, Kitchener and Barbara McDonald and Jack Bridge, Goderich.

 

John was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Della (née Ploughman) Nixon.

 

A private funeral service was held at McBurney Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 6. A link to view the service is available on McBurney Funeral Home’s website. Interment will take place in the spring at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Belgrave Community Centre or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
