Jessie Louise (Currie) McGee

At Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, Jessie Louise (Currie) McGee of Wingham passed away peacefully the age of 94.

 

The wife of the late George McGee, Jessie was the devoted mother of Linda and Ralph Logan of Wingham, Marian and Brian Keller of Brussels, Marlene and Don Procter of Brussels and the late Jim McGee (2018) and his wife Chris McGee of Kincardine.

 

She was the adored grandma of Kevin and Jordanna Logan, Trevor and Jodie Logan, Jackie and Shawn Thomas, Laura Strauss and Jeff Youmans, Devon and Ryan Girard, Kane Keller, Carl Procter and Roxanne Mills, Ellen and Tim Pleiter, Rob and Lindsay McGee, Courtney and Tyler Brown and Cody McGee and Zakh Qureshi and great-grandma of 17. Jessie will be missed by her sister Marjorie Falconer and her in-laws.

 

Jessie was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Gibson and Doreen Simpson, and brother Jack Currie.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday, Sept. 22 and a private funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel. Final resting place will be Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Belgrave Community Centre or the Huronlea Resident’s Council would be appreciated.
