Jaden Carly Dickson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaden Carly Dickson, formerly of Wingham, who died at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the age of 39.

The beloved daughter of Allan and Connie Dickson of Wingham and Christie Lewis of Stratford, Jaden was the cherished sister of Audrae Dickson and Priscilla Carvalho, Whitney Gerster and Garrett Wear, Fenton Litwiller, Jen Fenton and David Staines and Adam Fenton and Suzana Martinez Fenton. 

She was the loved granddaughter of Audrey Lewis of Belgrave and the special aunt of Quinn and Max Staines and Nayleah and Ally Fenton. Jaden will be lovingly remembered by her dear friend Amanda Hockney and her girlfriend Ashlay Clarkin-Summers and Amanda’s niece Serenity “Rennie” Woods, as well as her aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. 

Jaden was predeceased by her grandparents, Kenneth and Mildred Dickson, Jack Lewis and uncle Brad Lewis.

Jaden had a deep and lifelong love for animals - especially cats, who always seemed to find a special place in her heart. A gifted athlete, Jaden found joy and strength in sports. She excelled in track and field, but it was on the basketball court that she truly came into her own, competing at a provincial level with a competitive drive and commitment to her team. Though life presented Jaden with more than her fair share of challenges, she met them with a quiet strength and a fierce will to make the best of every moment. She had a kind soul, a loyal heart and a resilience that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, April 18 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m. Reception will follow at the Belmore Community Centre. If you cannot attend the funeral service, the family invites you to visit with them at the reception.

Donations to an Education Fund for Serenity Woods, with whom Jaden spent much of her time, would be appreciated by the family. Cheques can be made payable to Allan Dickson.
