Jack Ryan
Jack Ryan of Walton passed away peacefully at Huronview, Clinton, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 8, 2024 in his 86th year.
The beloved husband of the late Marianna (Grobbink) Ryan for 43 years, Jack was the proud dad of Stephen and Darlene, Joe and Rhonda, Peggy and Terry Sloan and Monica and Steve James. He was the adored Grandpa Jack of Sarah, Spencer (Rachael), Roan, Johnnie, Mackinley, Adam, and Owen and great-grandpa of Winnie Mae.
Jack was the dear brother and brother-in-law of Gerry and Anne Ryan, Sister Teresa Ryan, Betty Ryan, Catherine Grobbink, Ted VanderWouden, and Mary Ann Grobbink.
He is fondly loved by many nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Marjorie (Reid) Ryan, his siblings and their spouses Joan and Don McDonald, Bob and Barb Ryan, Jim Ryan, and Nelson Ryan, sister-in-law Emma VanderWouden, and brother-in-law Henry Grobbink.
Jack was known far and wide for being a great person; quiet, but very kind, well loved and widely respected.
Jack lived and loved his three Fs.
Farming: Jack lived on three farms throughout his life and was proud to be able to see all three of them from standing in the same spot.
Faith: Jack was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Church in Brussels and St. James Church in Seaforth.
Family: Most important to Jack was his family. Jack loved his family and was so proud of everyone, especially the love of his life, whom he has patiently waited to be happily reunited and dancing with his sweetheart, Marianna.
Visitation was held at Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth on Tuesday following the saying of the Rosary in the funeral home that afternoon.
Jack’s Funeral Mass was held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Brussels, on Wednesday, March 13 with Father Ross Bartley presiding. Interment St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery, Brussels.
