Isabel Armstrong

Isabel Armstrong of Brussels, passed away peacefully at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, Oct. 13. She was in her 87th year.

Predeceased by her loving husband John (1996) and son Murray (2004), Isabel was the loving mom of Brian (Elaine), Ethel; Don (Lynne), wingham and Gary (Judith), Cambridge.

Isabel was the grandmother  of David (Stephanie), Chris (Holly), Richard (Stephanie), Laura (Peter), Cheryl (Pat), Scott (Kaitlyn), Jason, Heather (Brad), Shelby, Amanda and Mathew and great-grandmother of 15. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Isabel is survived by her sisters Audrey Ellacott and Bernice (Gerry Edwards), brother-in-law Glen Casemore and sister-in-law Mary Brown.

She was predeceased by her sisters Marjorie Knight, Evelyn Smith, Ruby Brown, Margaret Casemore and Fern Matheson; brothers Stan and Floyd, brother-in-law Elmer Armstrong and sister-in-law Tena Empey.

Friends and family were received at Riverside Funeral Home for visitation on Sunday, Oct. 15. The funeral service was held Oct. 16. Rev. Charmila Ireland officiated. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association, Melville Presbyterian Church or Wingham and District Hospital are appreciated.
