Huron Heat host another successful U7 Jamboree in Clinton

This weekend, three Huron Heat teams (U13 C, U11 C and U9 C) will be heading to Belmont for the annual B.A.D. Blazers Tournament. The action gets underway on Friday.
The U9 C team will open with games against the Mount Forest Express and St. Marys Rock that day, while the U11 C Heat will play the Wingham 86ers and the Central Perth Predators and the U13 C Heat have games with the Upper Maitland Mustangs and Parkhill that day.
On Saturday, the U9 C Heat play the St. Thomas Panthers and the Upper Maitland Mustangs, the U11 C Heat will play the Sarnia Lady Sting and the Tillsonburg Lightning and the U13 C team will play the Lambeth Lancers before taking on a second Lancers team the following morning.
In regular season action this weekend, the Senior C team will play Belmore on the road tonight, Friday, Jan. 17, followed by Saturday games between the U9 B Heat and the Kitchener Lady Rangers on the road, the U9 HL Heat and the Ilderton Jets in Seaforth, the U15 A Heat and the Wildcats in Woodstock, the Senior team at the Huron Cats in Howick and the U18 BB Heat and the Stratford Aces in Clinton.
On Sunday, the U15 A Heat will host the London Devilettes and the U11 A Heat will play the South Huron Sabres, both in Clinton, while the U18 BB Heat will play the Ice Hawks in Owen Sound.
Looking back, the Heat hosted another successful U7 Jamboree in Clinton on Sunday, welcoming teams from Waterloo, Sarnia, London and Bruce County to the Central Huron Community Complex for a fun day of youth hockey. No scores were kept, but a lot of fun was had.
Also that day, the U9 B Heat played an exhibition game with the Sarnia Lady Sting on the road that ended in a scoreless tie. The U13 A Heat beat the St. Thomas Panthers by a score of 3-1 on the road, while the U18 C Heat lost to the St. Marys Rock in Seaforth by a score of 3-2. The Senior team hosted Woolwich in Hensall and the Senior C team played Monkton on the road, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On Jan. 11, the U9 B Heat played to a scoreless tie with the London Devilettes in Seaforth, the U11 C Heat beat the Central Perth Predators by a score of 2-0, also in Seaforth, the U15 C Heat lost to the St. Marys Rock on the road by a score of 3-1 and the U13 A Heat beat the Bluewater Hawks by a score of 3-1, also on the road. Also that day, the U9 C Heat played the Lambton Attack on the road, the Senior C team hosted Milverton in Brussels, the Senior team played Seaforth on the road and the U18 BB Heat played the Owen Sound Ice Hawks in Clinton, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Last weekend, the U11 A Heat took part in the New Tecumseth ODR Winter Classic, playing the Hamilton Hawks on Friday and the Sudbury Lady Wolves and Mississauga Hurricanes on Saturday, but scores for that tournament were unavailable at press time.
The U11 HL and U13 HL Heat teams were both in Wilmot over the weekend to take part in the Kyla Kowalik Tournament, beginning on Friday for the U11 team with a 4-3 loss to Wilmot Navy and a scoreless draw for the U13 Heat with Woolwich.
The next day, the U11 HL Heat beat Waterloo by a score of 5-1, but then lost to the Lakeshore Sky Blue team, also by a score of 5-1. The U13 team started its Saturday with a 4-0 win over Wilmot, followed by a 6-0 win over North Simcoe.
Both teams earned a spot in their respective semi-final round on Sunday. However, the U11 team lost to Waterloo by a score of 1-0, ending their tournament, while the U13 fell to Windsor by a score of 2-0, ending their journey as well.
The lone regular season game on Friday, Jan. 10 saw the U18 C Heat lose to the Mitchell Meteors on the road by a score of 10-1. One day earlier, the U13 C Heat beat the Central Perth Predators on the road by a score of 5-0, while the U15 C Heat hosted Lucan/South Huron in Brussels and lost by a score of 1-0.
