Harry David Smith

Harry David Smith passed away, surrounded by family, on Jan. 3, 2026, at Wingham and District Hospital. He was in his 88th year.

 

The loving husband of Grace (2006) for 49 years, Harry was the proud dad of Catherine and Richard Badley of Blyth, Patricia and Steven Fidler of Lurgan Beach, and Darlene and Ben Hoegy of Brussels.

 

He was the grandpa of Amelia and Ben, Heidi and Jonathan, Mitchell and Ashton, Hannah and Teddy, and Chad and Elyshia, and the great-grandpa of Jasper, Reggie, Jaxx, Quinn, and Todd Joseph.

 

He was predeceased by his siblings Aileen, Gloria and Bill.

 

Harry loved life. He worked hard, played hard and enjoyed his family and friends. He will be missed.

 

Cremation has taken place.

 

A private family graveside service will take place in the spring.

 

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Wingham and District Hospital would be appreciated.
