Goldie Stevenson 

Goldie Stevenson passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Monday April 18, 2022. She was 93.  

 

Goldie was a former head cook at the Salvation Army in Kitchener for many years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking but especially cherished the time spent with her family.
   

She was the beloved wife of the late Gord Stevenson, who predeceased her in 1987, the loving mother of Doug (Linda) and Paul (Lisa) and the cherished grandma of Austin and Faith and their son Kolt, Cassidy and Ryan, Shyanne and Adam. Goldie will be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters Ivan (Jean) Fischer, Betty Knight, Maxine (Barry) Wicks, Gerald (Martha) Fischer, Sharon (Robin) Jenkins, sister-in-law Donna Fischer and many nieces and nephews. 

 

Goldie was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Ethel (Ward) Fischer, brother Roy Fischer, sister Shirley Kraehn and brother-in-law Ross Knight. 

 

A private family service and burial was held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, Breslau, on Saturday April 23. 
   

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood.
