George Campbell Wey

George Campbell Wey of Seaforth and formerly of Walton, passed away peacefully at Maplewood Manor, Seaforth on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016. Born in Neepawa, Manitoba on Monday, Oct. 2, 1922, Campbell was in his 94th year.
Campbell was the beloved husband of the late Edith (née Hackwell) for 66 years (Feb. 26, 2015). He was the loving father of Douglas Wey (Heidi Engelhardt), Waterloo; Deborah Wey (Dwayne Mountney), Port Colborne and the late Dena Kale (Larry), Pittsburgh. Campbell was the cherished grandpa of Karla Kale (Chris Stead), Cameron Kale, Tess Wey and Duncan Wey. Campbell was predeceased by his parents George and Marion (née Campbell) Wey, siblings Margaret Hillstand (Cliff), Samuel Wey, Betty Wey and sister-in-law Bernice Gray (Donald).
There was no formal visitation or funeral service. At Campbell’s request a private graveside committal service took place in Maitlandbank Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the charity of one’s choice are appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
