Garry Young

Garry Young of Seaforth passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024 at the age of 71. 

 

He was the proud dad of Tonya and Josh Hummel and the adored grandpa of Khloe and Mylee. 

 

Garry was the cherished son of Isabelle and the late Norman (2017) Young and the dear brother and brother-in-law of Murray Young (Deb), Ralph Young, Nancy Young, and Sandra Jessome (Silby). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Garry was always up for touring around; he would say “gas tank is full, where are we going today?” He cherished his time with family and friends and always made time for visits. Even after retirement from many hardworking years at Lavis, Garry always kept a keen eye on the crews and kept up with the comings and goings. 

 

A celebration of Garry’s life was held at the Seaforth Legion on Sunday, Sept. 22. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Brussels Cemetery at a later date. 

 

Donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
