Elizabeth Edna (Betty) Millar
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Edna (Betty) Millar on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels. Born and raised in Stanley Township, Betty was in her 93rd year.
Betty was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hugh Millar (2011) for 58 years. She was loved by her five children: Randy (Lysanne) Millar, Brian (Wendy) Millar, Craig (Linda) Millar, Brenda (Alan) Young, and Scott (Debbie) Millar.
She will be dearly missed by 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren (with one more on the way) and seven nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Edna Stewart, brothers Jack and Jim, sisters Lillian and Helen, sister-in-law Blanche, brother-in-law Walter and niece Barbara.
Known for her quick wit and entertaining comments, Betty will be fondly remembered by many friends. Even up to the age of 90, she was still involved with the Londesborough United Church Women.
Visitation was held at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton, on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16, followed by the funeral service that afternoon. Spring Interment at Blyth Union Cemetery, Blyth.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to Londesborough United Church, Huronlea Home for the Aged or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
