EILEEN (ERNEWEIN) MCGLYNN

Peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels, Eileen (Ernewein) McGlynn, formerly of Wingham, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 87.

 

The devoted mom of Cathy and Steve Howson of Blyth, and Anne and Brad Bender of Wroxeter, Eileen was the loving grandma of Meagan and Nick Cicchini of Point Edward, Holly Howson and Justin Burke, and Brenden Howson and Anika Kumhyr, all of Blyth and Kelsey Wagler and Jacque Deslaunais of Listowel. She was the great-grandma of Reid and Grace Cicchini, Raelynn Magliocco and Paisley and Oakley Deslaunais-Wagler. 

 

Eileen was the sister of Alf and Joan Ernewein, Bert Ernewein, Joe Ernewein, John Ernewein, Francis and Marilyn Ernewein and Mary and Dave Nash and the sister-in-law of Judy and Ray Fischer and Eleanor Curran.  

 

Eileen will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. 

 

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas McGlynn, sons James and Tom McGlynn, sister Helen McGlynn, brother Harold Ernewein and many brothers and sisters-in-law. 

 

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday, April 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A memorial Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m.

 

Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
