Edna Pletch
It is with great sadness that the family of Edna Pletch announces her passing at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the age of 92.
The wife of the late Tom Pletch for 61 years, Edna was the cherished mother of Karen Cronin, Don and Connie Pletch, Steve and Barb Pletch and son-in-law Jim Hogan.
She was the loved grandmother of Lori, Julie, Michelle, Gary, Kari, Amanda, Mike, Dan, Steve, Sherry, Kim, Alexandra and Ryan, proud great-grandmother of 26 and great-great-grandmother of four.
Edna was the sister of Ross Higgins and Mildred McDonald.
She was predeceased by parents Nelson and Selena (Wheeler) Higgins, daughter Bonnie Hogan, two brothers and four sisters, and son-in-law Jim Cronin.
Edna was a lifetime resident of the Brussels area. She was an employee with CIBC for 19 years. Edna enjoyed quilting, painting, sewing, gardening, curling, her church groups and the Women’s Institute.
Family and friends are invited to Riverside Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 9 for visitation starting at 1 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at Brussels Cemetery with Rev. Alex Jebson officiating.
