Douglas Howard Lapp

At Wingham and District Hospital on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Douglas Howard Lapp of Wingham passed away at the age of 82.

 

The husband of Marilynn Gail (Ritchie) Lapp, Doug was the dad of Murray Douglas Lapp and Kenneth Alexander Lapp. He will be missed by his granddaughter Danika Anne Lapp and her mother Lisa Lapp. 

 

He was the brother and brother-in-law of Betty Ann and Winston Martin, Mary Joan and David Edwards, Doug Jeffray and Jeannette King and Margaret Ritchie. Doug will be remembered by his nieces and nephews. 

 

Doug was predeceased by his parents Willis and Jessie (Orr) Lapp, parents-in-law David and Ena (Gamble) Ritchie, sister Olive Jeffray and brother-in-law Mac Ritchie and his wife Marilyn. 

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Doug’s 83rd birthday, Thursday, March 21. The funeral service was held on Friday, March 22 in the funeral home chapel. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (General Fund) or the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation (CT Scanner Campaign) would be appreciated.
