Douglas "Doug" Edward Wallace

Douglas “Doug” Edward Wallace passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 4 at Victoria Hospital in London in his 83rd year.

 

The loving husband of the late Mildred Elmerne (Parker) and special friend of Jane Hall, Doug was the brother of Robert and Harold and Ann Wallace and brother-in-law of Marie Wallace.

 

Doug will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sibling Stewart and Verna Wallace, Margaret and Bob Minster, David Wallace, and in-law Jean Wallace.

 

Doug was very independent of his family for many years, only recently reconnecting with them. Doug was very friendly and a genuinely nice guy. Doug’s family will miss his humour and conversation. 

 

Cremation has taken place.

 

A celebration of Doug’s life will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Huronlea Home for the Aged from 1-3:30 p.m., beginning with a service at 1 p.m.

 

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Huronlea’s resident bike purchase would be appreciated.
