Dorothy Marie (Howatt) Bogie

Dorothy Marie (Howatt) Bogie of Clinton passed away on her 77th birthday (January 8, 2021) while enjoying a beautiful day outdoors with friends.

 

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Bogie (2009). She was the cherished mother of Dianne Parsons, Paul Bogie (Kelly) and daughter-in-law Nicky Bogie. She was predeceased by her son Michael Bogie (2017). Dorothy was the dear grandmother of Emily, Colby, Jarrett, Davis, Skylar and Rachael.

 

She will be missed by her siblings Ivan Howatt (Connie), Doreen Taylor (William), Doug Howatt (Sherry), Ron Howatt, and brother-in-law David Webster. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Webster and sister-in-law Madeline (Eldon) Ritchie. She was the dear aunt and great-aunt of several nieces and nephews. 

 

Dorothy was very active in the community.  She was involved in the Londesborough United Church and choir, the Londesborough and Goderich Lions Clubs, the Blyth Festival and the annual reunion of the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association and various 4-H Clubs. Dorothy enjoyed hiking, biking and square and round dancing.  She will be sadly missed by friends from those activities.

 

Dorothy’s family expresses thanks to her friends for their efforts and care during her final moments. Cremation has taken place and due to COVID-19 restrictions, a service will be held in the spring.
