Dorothy (Hallam) Schneider

Dorothy (Hallam) Schneider passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Jan. 18, 2022. She was in her 78th year. 

 

Dorothy was the loving wife and best friend of James (2019) for almost 54 years and the cherished and devoted mother of Dennis (Lorelee) Schneider, Angela (Tony) Lawrence, Michael (Leanne) Schneider and Pamela (Jeremiah) Sommer. She was the loving grandma of Amanda, Jason, Katherine, Heather, Logan, Joshua, Isaiah, Kathryn, Alexandra, Ethan and Paige. 

 

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Charles and Viola Hallam and brothers Tom, Fred, Les, Cecil and Jim. 

 

Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her sister Beth and brothers Ross and Roy, as well as Jim’s siblings, many nieces and nephews and friends and by the many children who were welcomed into her home and heart in her cherished role as a babysitter. 

 

A family service of remembrance was held on Friday, Jan. 28 at St. George’s Anglican, Goderich. Donations made to St George’s Church or the Arthritis Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place in the summer.
