Andy (Anthony Frederik) Uyl

After a short battle with cancer, Andy (Anthony Frederik) Uyl passed away to be with the Lord Jesus on July 29, 2025 at the age of 69. Andy will be greatly missed by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Margot, and by his much-loved step-daughter Yvonne (Chris) and treasured grandchildren, Dash and Evan. 

 

He will be lovingly remembered by his stepson Robert (Suzanne), his four godchildren in the Dominican Republic and his spiritual goddaughter Dayana in Toronto. Andy was the son of Freda and Anthonie (deceased) Uyl and brother of Jane (Neil, deceased), Lawrence (Henny), Hans (Henny), Freda (Gerald) and Ricky (predeceased). 

 

Andy lived out his Christian faith and led by example. He was a dedicated, fun-loving youth leader. He passionately promoted FOTOCAN, encouraging youth and adults alike to join him in loving and helping the disadvantaged children of Central America. Andy loved being a hardware guy; still working and serving with excellence at Watson’s Home Hardware until he was diagnosed. 
The celebration of life took place at Clinton Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m.
